Hip Pain & Leg Pain
The knee is a large weight bearing joint and given the forces that go through it as we walk and run and exercise it is no wonder it is frequently injured. There may be poor alignment of the knee in relation to altered mechanics of the foot, hip and back joints and this may give rise to pain, swelling, locking and stiffness. Along with the hip, it is commonly affected by osteoarthritis.
The foot and ankle form the foundation for the body. Problems arising here can affect how you weightbear and move and can “throw out” joints higher up your body such as your knees, hips and back so it’s important that you address any issues before they lead to further problems. Conditions seen include:
- Ankle sprains
- Achilles tendonitis
- Achilles tenosynovitis
- Flat foot
- Pronation
- Plantar fasciitis
- Osteoarthritis
